"The Comforter, which is the Holy Spirit, whom the Father will send in My name, He shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you(Jn14:26).- And the Holy Spirit helps us in our weakness. For example, we don't know what God wants us to pray for. But the Holy Spirit prays for us with groanings that cannot be expressed in words(Rom8:26)."

"And the one sitting on the throne said, 'Look, I am making everything new!' And then He said to me, 'Write this down, for what I tell you is trustworthy and true'(Revelation21:5). And He also said, 'It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega--the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life(v6). All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children(v7). But cowards, unbelievers, the corrupt, murderers, the immoral, those who practice witchcraft, idol worshipers, and all liars--their fate is in the fiery lake of burning sulfur. This is the second death(Rev21:8)."

Life has taught us that love does not consist in gazing at each other but in looking outward together in the same direction...- Antoine De Saint-Exupery.....Phi1:9-11 "I pray that your love will overflow more and more, and that you will keep on growing in knowledge and understanding. For I want you to understand what really matters, so that you may live pure and blameless lives until the day of Christ's return. May you always be filled with the fruit of your salvation--the righteous character produced in your life by Jesus Christ--for this will bring much glory and praise to God."

There are some individuals who are toxic. They may be in your workplace. They may be living down the street from you or you may run into them at school or even in church. Escaping them is not always an option. The toxic person is the kind of individual who drains you emotionally with an endless litany of complaints, or the one who has an acerbic tongue every chance he or she gets. How do you handle toxic people in a toxic world? Begin by putting as much distance as you can between yourself and the person. The second step is to be your own person. You don't have to keep everybody happy all of the time. You lose every time you violate your conscience trying to be 'cool' or fit into the scene you know is toxic. Then, set boundaries. Decide where you are going to draw the line. Toxic individuals are not real friends. They will not be there for you when the going gets tough. They break down your resistance to what is wrong...- Sala, Refuge And Strength.....Mat16:6 "'Be careful,' Jesus said to them. ‘Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and the Sadducees’.”

The smallest good act today is the capture of a strategic point from which, a few months later, you may be able to go on to victories you never dreamed of...- C. S. Lewis........Ephesians1:11 "Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for He chose us in advance, and He makes everything work out according to His plan."

Wisdom does not spring up overnight--it takes time. To become wise, we must seek God's wisdom and live according to His Word. And, we must not only learn the lessons of the Christian life, we must also live by them. Do you seek a life of righteousness and wisdom? If so, you must study the ultimate source of wisdom: the Word of God. Wisdom is the God-given ability to see life with rare objectivity and to handle life with rare stability...- A Daily Walk Through Proverbs, Freeman-Smith...Proverbs3:13.- Prv13:20 "Who is wise and understanding among you? He should show his works by good conduct with wisdom's gentleness.- The one who walks with the wise will become wise, but a companion of fools will suffer harm."

If we live, it's to honor the Lord. And if we die, it's to honor the Lord. So whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord(Romans14:8). Christ died and rose again for this very purpose--to be Lord both of the living and of the dead(v9). So why do you condemn another believer? Why do you look down on another believer? Remember. we will all stand before the judgement seat of God(v10). For the Scriptures say, 'As surely as I live,' says the Lord, 'every knee will bend to Me, and every tongue will confess and give praise to God'(v11). Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God(v12). So let's stop condemning each other. Decide instead to live in such a way that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall(Rom14:13)."

Nature and art, material and workmanship. There is no beauty unadorned and no excellence that would not become barbaric if it were not supported by artifice. This remedies the bad and improves the good. Nature scarcely ever gives us the very best--for that we must have recourse to art. Without this the best of natural dispositions remains uncultured, lacking half its excellence if training is absent. Everyone has something refined that needs training, and every kind of excellence needs some polish...- Baltasar Gracian Aphorism12, The Art Of Worldly Wisdom, by JJacobs..........Habakkuk2:4 "Look at the proud! They trust in themselves, and their lives are crooked. But the righteous will live by their faithfulness to God."
#0002864
"Where shall wisdom be found(Job28:12)?- If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering(Jam1:5,6).- Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy paths(Prv3:5,6).- The only wise God(1Tim1:17).- Be not wise in thine own eyes(Prv3:7)."
#0002865
"'O Sovereign Lord,' I said, 'I can't speak for You! I'm too young(Jer1:6)!' The Lord replied, 'Don't say, I'm too young,' for you must go wherever I send you and say whatever I tell you(v7). And don't be afraid of the people, for I will be with you and will protect you. I, the Lord, have spoken(Jer1:8).- At that time you won't need to ask Me for anything. I tell you the truth, you will ask the Father directly, and He will grant your request because you use My Name(v23). You haven't done this before. Ask, using My Name, and you will receive, and you will have abundant joy(Jn16:24).- You can pray for anything, and if you have faith, you will receive it(Mat21:22)."

Know how to withdraw. If it is a great lesson in life to know how to deny, it is still greater to know how to deny oneself as regards both affairs and persons. There are extraneous occupations that eat away precious time. To be occupied in what does not concern you is worse than doing nothing. It is not enough for a careful person not to interfere with others, he must see that they do not interfere with him. One is not obliged to belong so much to others as not to belong at all to oneself. So with friends, their help should not be abused or more demanded from them than they themselves will grant. All excess is a failing, but above all in personal relationships. A wise moderation in this best preserves the goodwill and esteem for all, for by this means that precious boon of courtesy is not gradually worn away. Thus you preserve your genius and freedom to select the best and never sin against the unwritten laws of good taste...- Baltasar Gracian Aphorism33, Worldly Wisdom.....Job7:16 "For you examine us every morning and test us every moment.”
#0002867
Knowledge and Courage. These are the elements of greatness. Because they are immortal they bestow immortality. Each is as much as he knows, and the wise can do anything. A person without knowledge is in a world without light. Wisdom and strength are the eyes and hands. Knowledge without courage is sterile...- Baltasar Gracian, The Art Of Worldly Wisdom, by JJacobs..........John14:26,27 "But when the Father sends the Advocate as my representative--that is, the Holy Spirit--He will teach you everything and will remind you of everything I have told you. I am leaving you with a gift--peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don't be troubled or afraid."
#0002868
A person at his peak. We are not born perfect. Every day we develop in our personality and in our profession until we reach the highest point of our completed being, to the full round of our accomplishments and of our excellences. This is known by the purity of our taste, the clearness of our thought, the maturity of our judgment, and the firmness of our will. Some never arrive at being complete--something is always lacking. Others ripen late. The complete person--wise in speech, prudent in act--is admitted to the familiar intimacy of discreet people and is even sought out by them...- Baltasar Gracian Aphorism6, Worldly Wisdom, by JJacobs.....Heb12:2 "We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Because of the joy awaiting Him, He endured the cross, disregarding its shame. Now He is seated in the place of honor beside God's throne."
#0002869
"Remember how the Lord your God led you through the wilderness for these forty years, humbling you and testing you to prove your character, and to find out whether or not you would obey His commands(Deut8:2). Yes, he humbled you by letting you go hungry and then feeding you with manna, a food previously unknown to you and your ancestors. He did it to teach you that people do not live by bread alone; rather, we live by every word that comes from the mouth of the Lord(v3).- Be careful to obey all the commands I am giving you today. Then you will live and multiply, and you will enter and occupy the land the Lord swore to give your ancestors(Deut8:1)."
#0002870
"For all these forty years your clothes didn't wear out, and your feet didn't blister or swell(Deut8:4). Think about it: Just as a parent disciplines a child, the Lord disciplines you for your own good(v5). So obey the commands of the Lord your God by walking in His ways and fearing Him(v6). For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land of flowing streams and pools of water, with fountains and springs that gush out in the valleys and hills(v7). It is a land of wheat and barley; of grapevines, fig trees, and pomegranates; of olive oil and honey(v8). It is a land where food is plentiful and nothing is lacking. It is a land where iron is as common as stone, and copper is abundant in the hills(v9). When you have eaten your fill, be sure to praise the Lord your God for the good land He has given you(Deuteronomy8:10)."
#0002871
"But that is the time to be careful! Beware that in your plenty you do not forget the Lord your God and disobey His commands, regulations, and decrees that I am giving you today(Deut8:11). For when you have become full and prosperous and have built fine homes to live in(v12), and when your flocks and herds have become very large and your silver and gold have multiplied along with everything else, be careful(v13)! Do not become proud at that time and forget the Lord your God, who rescued you from slavery in the land of Egypt(v14). Do not forget that He led you through the great and terrifying wilderness with its poisonous snakes and scorpions, where it was so hot and dry. He gave you water from the rock(Deuteronomy8:15)!"
#0002872
"He fed you with manna in the wilderness, a food unknown to your ancestors. He did this to humble you and test you for your own good(Deuteronomy8:16). He did all this so you would never say to yourself, 'I have achieved this wealth with my own strength and energy(v17).' Remember the Lord your God. He is the one who gives you power to be successful, in order to fulfill the covenant He confirmed to your ancestors with an oath(v18). But I assure you of this: If you ever forget the Lord your God and follow other gods, worshiping and bowing down to them, you will certainly be destroyed(v19). Just as the Lord has destroyed other nations in your path, you also will be destroyed if you refuse to obey the Lord your God(Deut8:20)."
#0002873
"The best-equipped army cannot save a king, nor is great strength enough to save a warrior(Psa33:16). Don't count on your warhorse to give you victory--for all its strength, it cannot save you(v17). But the Lord watches over those who fear Him, those who rely on His unfailing love(v18). He rescues them from death and keeps them alive in times of famine(v19). We put our hope in the Lord. He is our help and our shield(v20). In Him our hearts rejoice, for we trust in His holy name(v21). Let your unfailing love surround us, Lord, for our hope is in You alone(Psalm33:22)."
#0002874
"For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him(Phi2:13).- We are confident of all this because of our great trust in God through Christ. It is not that we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God(2Cor3:4,5). He has enabled us to be ministers of His new covenant. This is a covenant not of written laws, but of the Spirit. The old written covenant ends in death; but under the new covenant, the Spirit gives life(2Cor3:6).- For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works, which God hath before ordained that we should walk in them(Eph2:10).- Lord, You will grant us peace; all we have accomplished is really from You(Isa26:12)."
#0002875
"So don't be misled, my dear brothers and sisters(James1:16). Whatever is good and perfect comes down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens. He never changes or casts a shifting shadow(v17). He chose to give birth to us by giving us His true Word. And we, out of all creation, became His prized possession(James1:18)."
#0002876
Christ alone can bring lasting peace -peace with God -peace among men and nations -and peace within our hearts...- Billy Graham........John3:27 "John replied, 'No one can receive anything unless God gives it from heaven'."
#0002877
Best of all is, God is with us...- John Wesley.....Ecclesiastes8:1 "How wonderful to be wise, to analyze and interpret things. Wisdom lights up a person's face, softening its harshness."
#0002878
"Don't long for 'the good old days.' This is not wise(Ecc7:10). Wisdom is even better when you have money. Both are a benefit as you go through life(v11). Wisdom and money can get you almost anything, but only wisdom can save your life(v12). Accept the way God does things, for who can straighten what He has made crooked(v13)? Enjoy prosperity while you can, but when hard times strike, realize that both come from God. Remember that nothing is certain in this life(Ecclesiastes7:14)."
#0002879
"Enjoy what you have rather than desiring what you don't have. Just dreaming about nice things is meaningless--like chasing the wind(Ecc6:9).- Finishing is better than starting. Patience is better than pride(Ecclesiastes7:8)."
#0002880
"Light is sweet; how pleasant to see a new day dawning(Ecc11:7). When people live to be very old, let them rejoice in every day of life. But let them also remember there will be many dark days. Everything still to come is meaningless(v8). Young people, it's wonderful to be young! Enjoy every minute of it. Do everything you want to do; take it all in. But remember that you must give an account to God for everything you do(v9). So refuse to worry, and keep your body healthy. But remember that youth, with a whole life before you, is meaningless(v10). Don't let the excitement of youth cause you to forget your Creator(Ecc12:1). Honor Him in your youth before you grow old and say, 'Life is not pleasant anymore.(Ecc12:2)."
